Friends,

I am sending on to you an email I received yesterday and my reply. There are
many factors ministries are facing as the economy remains iffy one of which
is limited funding. While that is reality the greater reality is that people
in the cracks keep getting pushed deeper and deeper in need. I am asking
that you respond to this crisis in funding for the materials to work on
projects June 20-25 with a gift of money. If we don't raise the funds we
won't be able to go. That would be a great loss to us and a greater loss to
people in need of our help. 

 

I ask you to join me in praying for God's blessing and direction in our
responding to this. Gifts can be made to the Mission/Building Team Fund.

Tony said he thinks $2800 to $3100 or you can figure $150 per person.

 

Thanks for considering this as this help will make a difference in whether
Step by Step can continue.

What sort of cost would we need to cover as a team to work on some projects?
We may be able to have some funds available. I just need a ballpark
estimate.

Kathie and Randy and our friends at Burkhead and Konnoak Hills,

 

After searching for another way, we regret that we must advise you Step by
Step Ministries is at a crisis stage and between funding cycles.  We have
many, many clients who have asked and qualified for help; however, there are
no funds for materials at the present time. 

 

Our officials have decided that in order for the ministry to continue,
volunteer teams must contribute to the cost of materials for the jobs.  We
know we are very late telling you as we have been making every effort to
avoid this problem.  However, the fund-raising letters we sent out received
little response and of the several grants we have submitted, only one
received very little funding.  

 

We thank you for your personal contribution and we are so, so grateful for
your continuing help to this ministry.  

 

We hope you will still be able to travel here on June 20 and help us, even
under these circumstances.  We look forward to hearing from you.
