The Pickens Family, the family that the Mission Building Team built a deck for the Dad Dave, needs our help this Christmas. I emailed Tamera and Dave earlier asking how the Mission Team could be a part of their Christmas. Excepts from Dave's email at the end. 

This morning the class voted to spend $500 on the family. Some of the $500 will buy a Wii System, the email will explain, and a small sewing machine for Brittany. I am going to try to order both of them through Amazon tomorrow and have them shipped to their home. If at all possible, we would like to get the remaining items purchased and wrapped by Thursday so we could take them with us Friday. Gail Sink graciously volunteered to shop for items during the day. Is anyone else is willing to go with her and help? I have purchased one bra. I will be out of pocket Tuesday and Wednesday for a business trip. I would be available again about 6:30 Wednesday, i.e. as soon as I get home from the airport. 

In the email, I am asking Gail to take the lead. Give Gail a call if you are willing to assist until I return. I will touch base with Gail Wednesday night and see where I need to pick up and help. My number at work is 661-4239.

I am going to share Dave's email with Randy to see if his part of our team would like to help.

Dave said Michael could use:

Boy’s boxer underwear, Size 8-10
Winter shoes, size boy’s 3’s
Bocks – long boys, size for size feet of shoe size 3
Jeans, size 10 reg., with medium waist
Toys he would like are: Aqua Beads, Legos, Bakugons, andTransformer “Bumble Bee”

Said Brittany coud use: 

Boy’s boxer briefs for girls, size 7
Bras 36DD for young women
Shoes for winter, 6.5 – 7
Socks for this shoe size

Small sewing machine, sewing supplies, and cloth

Family = A Wii system

Dear Beth , Family & Friends,
It is soooooo very wonderul to hear the words in this email!!!
You all,...have no Idea,.....how much of a Blessing you all,..(The whole Mission Building Team),.......have been so much of a blessing to our "Hearts",.........our "Spirits",.......our very "Lives!!"..
We Thank God for putting such a "Wonder", from him in our lives in such a way that we can "know" , It's directly a "Miracle" from Heaven!   
It's still hard to understand or feel worhty !!!
We as parents that are even more Disabled now,......have been Praying for  exactly ,.. what you have written to us in this letter!You have no Idea how much we have Prayed for a "Miracle" to help us for Christmas this year!
Here is what you asked for:
Little Michael needs: Boys boxer underwear sz. 8-10's
Shoes for winter: sz. boys 3's
socks!! long boys sz. for size feet of shoe size 3's.
Jeans, sz. 10 reg. with the weist medium, not small weist. He has "wonderfully" gained weight to 74 lbs. !!
He would like "things", like the "Aqua Beads", "Legos!!" He is very creative!, Bakugons, Transformer "Bumble bee!"
Brittany needs :
1... Underwear! "Boys boxer Briefs" for girls sz. 7's,...
2...Bra's are needed badly for her! She has grown and filled out even more since you all were here! Bra's sz. 36DD for young women.
She feels very self contious about her bra's not fitting and filling out so soon!
Shoes, sz. 6 1/2-7 and Socks for this shoe size for winter!!
 Her wants:
Craft supplies! Sewing supplies, a small sewing machine would make her flip!!s Bolts of cloth,...She loves making things for the family!!! she loves making things by hand for others!! Craft Items like construction paper,things that help her have whats needed to make things.
Our "want" ."Parents".......
Now,....This year we as a family have somewhat of a "BIG WANT!".......
We as disabled parents do our very best to do physical things with our children,.......but this is very hard on our bodies so,........we get the kids mattresses
out,....put them together in the livingroom floor,.........and watch animated, funny, story telling movies and have a "Family night" every Friday night as Family time!
Here is what we know "everyone wants these days,........but it's more a need for our family for having  a much better "Family night" on weekends,........
A Wii system.,........This is for a way for us to have a way to also have a interactive night of real "fun" that mom and dad "CAN" do with the kids!
Please, Please,.........do not think we are putting this in here for the same reasons as most,.if not all others are wanting one!!! Please,........We just want a way our Children can enjoy 1 night of real "up to date" fun with us as disabled parents that already feel we can not do things like parents with health!!!
Please do not let this feel like a demand for something we KNOW is expensive!
Even a USED one!!
Please,.....We as parents and we have talked as our kids about this and they would be blown away if this could really happen!!
Family night is very Important, not only to us as parents!!!,.......Our kids feel this time on the weekends is very special and very Important to them. ring.com
