Dear Seekers Class,

 

Since Murray and I are missing church this Sunday due to again being out
of town, I wanted to let everyone know that we are confirmed for the
meal at Open Arms on Wed., Aug. 27.  Vickie said to plan for 50-60
folks.  Those who take the meal are also welcome (and encouraged) to
join the folks as they eat.  (Add on to the numbers if that is the
plan.)  She said they get tons of lasagna and spaghetti, so I hope we
can think of something else.  The meal should be ready by 7p.m.  They
will start eating between 7 and 7:15.  The meal is set up with a serving
line which the people will come through.  

 

The address for Open Arms is 437 E. Sprague and the phone number is
724-0850.  We will be back on Friday, Aug. 22 and will be at church on
Sunday, Aug. 24.  If there are any questions before then, feel free to
call Jenny or Vickie at Open Arms.  

 

Vickie said they have plates, utensils, cups and ice.  If we want to
bring our own, that will help stretch their resources.  I will be glad
to make anything, so put me down for something!  Sorry it has worked out
that we have been gone, but I know you can make whatever plans need
making this week.

 

Thanks, everyone!  (In case anyone has forgotten, this is the Hispanic
Bible Study group for adults.  They also bring their children for child
care and everyone eats.  But, Vickie said to gear the meal toward the
adults and not the kids.)
